Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
